The Windows 10 Extended Security Update (ESU) program is a 12-month subscription to allow Windows 10 to continue to receive critical and important security updates past the end of support date. 

Microsoft have indicated the program will be available for up to a maximum of 3 years. A license must be purchased for each additional year of support which is required. 

A subscription must be purchased for each individual Windows 10 device.

No feature and quality updates are available for Windows 10 beyond 14th October 2025, even with the ESU subscription. Microsoft also do not offer technical support for Windows 10 beyond this date, and there are no fixes for non-security related issues under this program.

Price includes the base license for 12 months, registration of ESU program against Microsoft 365 tenant, activation of ESU program on each required computer, and documentation of the license and subscription term.
